Built for India's Data Privacy Moment
dplex advisory LLP was founded by practitioners who saw the DPDP Act not as a compliance burden, but as an opportunity for Indian organisations to build genuine trust with the people whose data they hold.
Why we exist
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 is the most significant shift in how Indian organisations must handle personal data. It introduces obligations around consent, purpose limitation, data minimisation, breach notification, and the rights of data principals — obligations that span legal, technical, and organisational domains simultaneously.
Most advisory firms approach this as a legal exercise. We approach it as a transformation programme. Compliance that lives only in policy documents does not protect data principals, does not satisfy regulators, and does not survive an audit. We help organisations build compliance into how they actually operate.
dplex advisory was founded to fill the gap between regulatory interpretation and practical implementation — bringing together the legal rigour of a specialist privacy practice and the technical depth to translate obligations into engineering and operational reality.

How we work
Substance over optics
We build compliance programmes that work under scrutiny — not documentation exercises designed to look good on paper.
Technical-legal integration
Privacy obligations live in systems as much as in policies. We bridge the gap between legal requirements and engineering reality.
Proportionate advice
We calibrate our recommendations to your organisation's size, risk profile, and maturity — not to maximise engagement scope.
Practitioner-led
Every engagement is led by practitioners with direct experience implementing privacy programmes, not junior analysts following templates.
